על השם:
השם Celu נגזר מהמילה הלטינית caelum, כלומר גן עדן או שלמות.
סלע היא מילה עברית שנמצאת בעיקר בתהילים. האטימולוגיה ומשמעותו המדויקת אינם ידועים, אם כי ניתנות פרשנויות שונות. לרוב זה מובן במשמעות של "עצור והקשיב".
